I hope you’re all having a great weekend so far! Yesterday I had the chance to visit the countryside near shanghai, and it’s really a world away from the city. We arrived by the river on a bike carriage, and had a simple lunch by the river of traditional Chinese eats (which included stir-fried bullfrog and water snake…yum). After, we took a boat ride into one of the smaller canals and sipped iced lemon teas in an old Chinese building over 150 years old! We returned to shanghai just before dinner time, such a lovely trip :)
